The History
Basketball arrived in Wales in the early twentieth century, carried by returning workers and students who had encountered the game in America and Canada.
It took root slowly at first, finding communities in the valleys and coastal towns before spreading to every corner of the nation. What began as informal matches between factory workers became a structured sport with dedicated clubs, coaches, and a national governing body.
